Dr. Tony Urbanek is a double degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive training in Cell Biology and Anatomy. He earned his dental degree with Highest Distinction from Indiana University and his M.D. from Vanderbilt, completing a Master’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology along the way. Over a 42-year surgical career, Dr. Urbanek specialized in orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, microneural reconstruction, TMJ/TMD, trauma, and cancer reconstruction. After 30 years of inconsistent TMJ surgical outcomes, he shifted his focus to developing a non-surgical solution for TMD, which is now documented in podcasts, blogs, patient testimonials, and an independent university study. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Urbanek founded medical clinics in Haiti and Jamaica, served as past president of the Flying Physicians Association, and maintains a 53-year career as a private pilot and Aviation Medical Examiner. He lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wife Ann, surrounded by three children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
