In this week’s Dental Handoff, Dr. Kelly hands off to Janice Correa!

Originally from Mid-Hudson Valley, NY, Janice Correa transferred to the VA Dental, resided for three years and re-married in Green Bay WI. They moved 3 yrs ago to Central Florida, closer to family. She is a Certified Dental Assistant for over 40 yrs., a Supervisory DA, an office Mgr and DA Educator. She is currently a Marketing Manager in saliva screening device sales.

The highlight of Janice’s career was employment for the Fed Gov’t VA and Army dental units. She worked in the Army Operating Room assisting for Jaw Surgeries and other OMS procedures. She’s a new podcaster sharing the topic on work ethics. She is a grandma of three with one more on the way. Her passion for work extends beyond dentistry which has led me to immeasurable learning opportunities.

She’s a social media community leader posting daily content for Facebook Grp-Dental Club Network-Tampa-St Pete. For the VA, a few adjunct positions were EEO Hispanic Counselor, then EEO Chairperson, EEO Sexual Harassment Counselor. For the Army, Army-Process Improvement Coordinator (Army Lean Six Sigma), Hospital Patient Safety Coordinator/Trainer, and Army Civilian Advisory Board Member.

She enjoys visiting dental office teaching on the values of salivary screening to focus on prevention and oral systemic wellness.
