In this episode we will have the opportunity to learn from a pivotal researcher in Biomimetic dentistry. Dr. Sema Belli has led the charge in studying Ribbond. Ribbond themselves state the following on their website: “Ribbond significantly increased the microtensile bond strength when it was used as a liner in the base of cavities with a high c-factor. This has been clinically demonstrated to avoid the problems that commonly occur in high c-factor situations.” This claim is substantiated by the work of Dr. Sema Belli. Dr. Sema Belli graduated from Marmara University in Istanbul Turkey and received her PhD from the Department of Operative Dentistry from Selçuk University, Konya, Turkey. She is now Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics at Selçuk University. This impressive woman has been a vanguard in studying one of Ribbond’s pivotal applications in operative dentistry.
