Show Notes
In this episode of The Social Dentist, Dr. Desiree Yazdan is discussing her journey to motherhood as a business owner. For business owners like dentists, the idea of taking an extended time off from work can seem far too stressful and maybe even impossible. This goes for any person who owns a business where they work for themselves, and Dr. Yazdan knows this first-hand. Since becoming a mom, Dr. Yazdan has had many people ask her how she balances motherhood and being a business owner. She is sharing her success story to show others in her situation that it can be done, and you can do it too – if you want it. Even though Dr. Yazdan makes it all look fun and easy, she’s keeping it real with us when she explains how she worked through the new “mom guilt” she was feeling when she first went back to work. She shares her personal story of how she arrived at and created the balance that she has today. She also tells us how she tackles “the haters” or unsolicited opinions that she gets regarding being a working mom.
